Led on the drums and washboard by Nick Ward, the quartet was formed to celebrate the musical compositions, and life and times of Jelly Roll Morton, and also the small groups that played in Chicago's South side during the 1920s. All members of the quartet have years of experience in performing older jazz styles, and play with verve and panache, in a musical romp across 1920s Chicago.
