The South West Lindy Hoppers are a group of Lindy Hop enthusiasts founded in 2004 by Derek and Jane Narramore because there was no Savoy Style Lindy Hop in the area.
Derek and Jane have been teaching for over 15 years and love to spread the word and love of Lindy where ever they go! Adding that extra something to every event they attend. They attract dancers from the whole of the South West region, holding regular Beginner's & Intermediate classes in Exeter and Totnes as well as practice sessions, workshops, demonstrations and swing dances that include music from the Big Band era, Jump Jive and Blues.
People say they teach in an uncomplicated way making it easy for them to pick up. Lindy is all about having FUN and enjoying the music. It is a very expressive dance, the more you relax into the dance and put your own style into the moves the better.
Derek and Jane teach classes in Exeter and Totnes on a weekly basis. All ages and abilities are welcome. No need to bring a partner. Meet like minded dancers in helpful and friendly surroundings.
Derek and Jane were also finalist in the Britain does Variety South West Region in 2012
