Biography:
Formed 2 years ago with the idea of playing a wide variety of Classic Jazz, Small Band Swing, Classic Blues, and Jump ‘N Jive, plus of course numbers from “The Great American Song Book, “ This quartet is formed from highly versatile and experienced musicians that play a multiplicity of instruments.
For Bude they are performing their show…The History of Jazz from 1918-1948 covering jazz from New Orleans, through Chicago to New York and beyond.

Featured on Burgh Island Art Deco hotel, and also plays with Hotsy-Totsy,
She is also John Shillitos’ Riviera Ramblers reed player.

MIKE, “MEGS” ETHERINGTON, CORNET, TROMBONE, VOCALS
Zoe’s Dad ! Megs is no stranger to Bude having appeared here with many bands over the last 30 years, too numerous to list. He’s toured Europe, appeared on TV, Radio, and Theatres. He is particularly proud to be playing with his daughter in the WEE4.
KEN AMES, GUITAR, BANJO, VOCALS
Early days in Skiffle led to a career with the Ken Colyer Jazzmen on Double Bass, which he learnt as well as the Banjo Later spells with a wide variety of bands including Bob Wallis ,The Georgia Jazzband as well 6 years of sea time travelling worldwide on Cruise Liners mainly on the QE2 as a Guitarist and Banjo player. Also a published songwriter Ken is now enjoying playing and vocalising with the WEE4.
PETER McCURRIE, STRING BASS, TUBA
Peter started on piano in the 50’s plus classical and bass guitar. The 70’s included Brass Bands on Tuba then Sousaphone on cruise ships and TV. 16 years on Tuba with The Roy Pellett Hot Four In the 2000’s Gerry Brown’s Mission Hall Band on Double Bass, also Colin Bryant’s Hot Rhythm Orchestra. Recently The John Maddocks Jazz Men. Now loving working with the WEE4.
